Throughout scripture we note the marked differences and the separation between light and darkness. The separation is not just physical, but it is spiritual. It indicates the opposition that exists between living in holiness and warring against our own fleshly nature that if left unchecked, results in darkness. We need to crucify the flesh and live in the Light. We are to change our garments and clothe ourselves with the armour of light. By being clothed with this armour, we can wage war and defeat the darkness that is fast closing in on the world. Being clothed with the armour of light means that we have entered the ranks of both priest and warrior, much like that of Pinchas the son of Eleazer, who was both a man of war and a priest. He was a priest who carried the holy instruments of YHVH into the heat of the battle, and he fought against the darkness because he had a zeal for the righteousness of his Elohim. He had walked the road to sanctity and was positioned to be a man who walked in the Light of Life. So too, we need to be clothed as warriors in the ranks of the King, and as servants in the office of priests. Yeshua our Messiah is also a Man of War and a Priest, and He will return soon as both, at His second coming. Will He find you ready, armed for battle, waging war and overcoming the darkness, walking in holiness, and reflecting His image as a living sacrifice to the Elohim of Israel?
